The Airfix Model Kit Supermarine Seafire F XVII, in 1:48 scale, returns after a ten-year absence, offering a chance to build a legendary aircraft. This variant features a cut-down rear fuselage and teardrop-style canopy, designed for improved performance.
With reinforced construction, the Seafire could carry heavier loads, including fuel tanks and rockets, under its wings. It remained on the frontlines until the early 1950s before transitioning to training roles, showcasing versatility in its service.
As the Navy's answer to the Spitfire, the Seafire excelled in the most demanding environments. Its folding wings allowed for swift carrier take-offs and landings, while its top speed of 608 km/h gave pilots a significant advantage in the air.
It comes with an instruction sheet, a paint layout guide, and decals, allowing for an accurate and rewarding build experience.
