The C38 Class 4-6-2 Spirit of Progress Passenger Locomotive (3830) is a historic Australian steam engine built in 1949 at the Eveleigh Locomotive Workshop. It was the last C38 locomotive produced and the final passenger locomotive designed by the New South Wales Government Railways.

In April 1962, 3830 and 3813 played a key role in the transition from broad gauge to standard gauge rail operations. They hauled the inaugural standard gauge Spirit of Progress service from Albury to Sydney, marking a significant moment in Australian railway history.

Withdrawn from service in 1967, 3830 is one of only four surviving C38 locomotives. This detailed H0 gauge model features an authentic knuckle-style coupler, precision-engineered motion mechanisms, and a highly detailed cabin, making it a must-have for collectors and enthusiasts.
