This beautiful pop-up book by LEGO is the first of its kind. Designed by LEGO as a part of their LEGO Ideas series, this construction set is a book which allows you to build scenes from two classic fairy tales - Red Riding Hood and Jack and the Beanstalk. The idea was submitted jointly by Grant Davis, Jason Allemann and Alan Talbot and Crystal Marie improved it. When kids build any scene in the book, it is designed to fold without any collision of the elements quickly. The attractive and innovative way in which this construction set has been designed makes it attractive for both kids and adults, as a great deal of attention has been paid into the mechanical aspect of the design, making sure it works as expected. This is an 859-piece set with 5 minifigures and a set of instructions to guide you through building the pop-up book. The 5 minifigures are Little Red Riding Hood, the grandmother, the Wolf, and the Giant, and Jack. The book measures approximately 20cm long and 13cm wide when it is closed. The open book is about 28cm wide. The colours of the book are earthy green and brown with the words 'Once Upon a Brick' written on the front cover along with Alleman and Davis' name in recognition of their idea submission. All LEGO pieces are made of durable plastic. This construction set is recommended for children over 12 years old.
