The Schleich Dromedary Camel is a camel model reproduced in great detail for animal lovers and collects animal models. The dromedary camel or Arabian camel (Camelus dromedarius) is the second-largest member of the camel family and is found in deserts of North Africa, South Asia and the Middle East. It has only one hump on its back. It feeds on foliage, dry grasses and desert vegetation. This camel is active in the day and rests together in groups. The herd can consist of 20 of these camels. The hump on a camel's back does not store water but is an accumulation of fat. If the camel cannot find food in the desert, it can live off this for weeks. This model measures 14cm long, 10cm high and 3.5cm wide. This Schleich Dromedary Camel model is based on a specimen in good health and has a well-defined hump. Suitable for ages 3 years to 8.
