The Special Hobby Kittyhawk Mk IV Model Kit in 1:72 scale brings to life the legendary P-40 Warhawk, one of WWII's most iconic fighters, used extensively by Commonwealth air forces under the name Kittyhawk.
The P-40N, introduced in 1944, marked the final mass-produced version of the aircraft and was known as the Kittyhawk Mk IV in RAAF service.
This superbly detailed model kit features two unique aircraft, both from the Royal Australian Air Force. One is Black Magic from No.87 Squadron, flown by F/Sgt Leonard Victor Waters, the only Aboriginal Australian pilot in WWII. The second is a P-40 from No.450 Squadron RAAF, stationed in Italy, which proudly displayed a semi-naked girl emblem on its cowling.
With intricate decals for these historically significant aircraft, this model kit offers aviation enthusiasts a chance to recreate an important chapter in Australian and WWII history. Ideal for collectors and model-building fans, it provides a fascinating insight into the Kittyhawk's legacy.
