The Tamiya Honda CX500 Turbo Model Kit allows you to build the world's first turbocharged production motorcycle, unveiled at the 1980 IFMA trade show in Cologne. The bike featured a liquid-cooled V-twin engine paired with a turbo unit developed with IHI, delivering 82 horsepower.
This 1:12 scale kit measures 18 cm in length, 6 cm in width, and 11.2 cm in height. It includes a detailed turbocharged engine, offering insight into the mechanics of the turbo system.
The model uses metal screws to fasten the wheels and front forks, ensuring greater rigidity. Vinyl tubing represents the brake pipes and cables, while the one-piece cowling features an integrated headlight, complemented by high-quality Cartograf decals for added realism.
