The Tamiya Super Astute 2018 is a limited-edition re-release of the classic 1991 2WD off-road buggy. It stays true to the original design while incorporating minor upgrades for better durability and performance on rough terrain.

Its low centre of gravity allows for balanced handling because it is built on a 2.5mm FRP chassis. Tamiya's Traction Control System (TTC), which minimises wheelspin and safeguards gears, is a characteristic of the sealed gearbox that guarantees a steady and comfortable drive.

High-traction rib-spike front tyres and square-spike rear tyres provide excellent grip for precise cornering. The kit includes a lightweight polycarbonate body and rear wing but requires additional components, such as a 2-channel radio, low-profile servo, motor, ESC, and a round-shaped 7.2V–7.4V battery pack.
