The Tamiya Porsche 956 R/C kit recreates the iconic endurance race car that dominated Group C racing in the early 1980s. Its lightweight polycarbonate body features realistic details, including a separate rear wing and head- and taillight parts, with stickers to customize it as car #1, #2, or #3.

The direct-drive 2WD chassis is built on a rigid ABS plastic bathtub frame with space frames and an FRP plate for durability. It features independent front coil-sprung suspension and a 3-point rigid rear suspension with a CVA oil damper, while sponge tires provide excellent grip and adjustable spacers allow for multiple ride height settings.

A ball differential ensures limited slip control for smooth acceleration and stability on the track. The model includes a sport-tuned motor but requires a 2-channel R/C system with ESC, AA batteries for the transmitter, and a battery pack with a charger to complete the setup.
